The one single impossible deal

The one single impossible deal
They turned this church into a condo a couple years ago

It is indeed very funny that Trump is preparing to throw J.D. Vance under the bus if this latest iteration of the Beautiful Iran Deal falls through. Which it will. I've seen a lot of people question why he might do that though. Clearly he's become acutely aware of his own mortality of late. Wouldn't he want to leave Vance in a better position to take over if he dies? Or even for a run in 2028? The answer to that is of course lol, lmao.

Much like many other monarchs and authoritarians Trump has made sure not to cultivate any plausible heirs his entire time in office because an heir is a threat. A symbol of his impermanence. In fact he has always turned on any of the relatively competent standard issue evil guys in his administration (besides Stephen Miller who he knows is too much of a fucking worm to ever be elected anything besides Race Ranker) and taken great joy in humiliating the dumber ones who have stayed loyal (Marco Rubio for example). To state the obvious Trump does not give a shit about the viability of the Republican party going forward or about the country itself or indeed the world.

As with any malignant narcissist the world will cease to exist once Trump dies so he simply does not care what happens. Not my problem etc. Which is why he's been so preoccupied of late with all the cram session monuments and trying to get his face on money and every other fucking thing he can before this grim looming deadline. It's a desperate bargaining – a sort of cursed prayer – that he will "live on forever." That he will be able to pull off the one single impossible deal. And why shouldn't he believe that. He's gotten everything else he ever dreamed of just by thinking he is owed it.

You and I know he won't though. At the end of it all Donald Trump will have been just a man. Scared of dying. Flailing around pleading with a god he doesn't believe in and who also does not believe in him.

Aren't you so fucking sick of psychoanalyzing this fucking guy every single day for over a decade?

I will give him this though: When he's right he's right.

Here's one I shared in a paid newsletter not too long ago. It's not about Trump per se but close enough to meet the theme here.

Judgment

The history books were absolutely cooking me. Simply because of who I had been and what I had done. They always warned about this in my day but who could give a shit now. Almost no one makes it in those things. When they even bother to publish them anymore. Either way I’m chilling here in this elaborate tomb with all of my gold and the skeletons of dozens of my women and most loyal soldiers. The landscaping outside always well fertilized. Every day people file by to come gaze upon my resting. Where I still exist. You could almost say I never even left. And what will they write about you?

Here's a brand new one. It's about my esteemed colleagues.

We’ve all got work to do

Well sure I work at the consent factory but in a different department than where they actually manufacture the consent. I’m on a whole other floor. They have a real strict firewall set up so it’s basically none of my concern. Same cafeteria yes but who’s really going to quibble with that. How many cafeterias do you expect a building to have? We’re all people and we gotta eat haha. Nevertheless every morning from the moment I walk through the revolving doors to when I scan my ID at the security desk I do a whole petulant teenager in the backseat on the way to church routine so anyone who might be watching knows that I don’t want to be there. That I don’t approve of what I do for a living. What they do I mean. Unless one of the guys from the prestige department is around then I straighten right up like daddy just got home. They’re in the same building too. Then I sit at my desk waving my hand in front of my face all day like someone farted while I’m busy at my work. Which is trying to change things from the inside by the way.

Paid subscribers can stick around for another brand new poem by me and one I loved by someone else and a bunch of recommendations of the best articles and funniest posts I read this week and who knows what else. Couple great new songs too. Anyway I still have to go write the damn thing. Thanks as always for being here.

Read this one from the other day if you didn't. "One of the good ones."

America 250: A Reckoning
Mythologizing ourselves to cover atrocities

And be sure to check out 1331 the new album from friend of Hell World Sad13. It's good and weird folks. All the songs are short as hell too. She's going Tony Molina mode.
